Statement of Faith

 

Forest Christian Radio affirms the following beliefs:

 

The Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, given for teaching, guidance, and instruction in righteousness
(2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105).

 

God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who is the Creator of all things and sovereign over all creation
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19).

 

Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, sacrificial death on the cross for the sins of humanity, His bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and His promised return
(John 1:1–14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11).

 

Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and not by human works
(Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10).

 

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts of sin, regenerates the believer, indwells, guides, empowers, and produces spiritual fruit in the life of every Christian 

(John 16:8; Galatians 5:22–23).

 

The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and serve the world in love and compassion
(1 Corinthians 12:27; Matthew 28:19–20).

 

Christian Living
We believe that followers of Christ are called to live lives of holiness, love, integrity, and obedience to God’s Word, demonstrating faith through good works (Micah 6:8; James 2:17).

 

Prayer and Worship
We believe in the power of prayer and worship as central to the Christian life, trusting God to hear and respond according to His will
(Philippians 4:6; Psalm 95:6).

 

The Great Commission
We believe that all believers are called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, bringing men and women to faith and encouraging spiritual growth
(Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 1:16).

 

Eternal Life
We believe in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life and the reality of eternal separation from God for those who reject salvation through Jesus Christ
(John 5:28–29; Revelation 21:1–4).
